Replacing one-time-use shrink wrap with reusable bins

Plastic waste is a significant environmental issue, and we are committed to finding ways to reduce our plastic consumption and minimize our impact on the planet.

One way we are able to achieve this is by using environmentally friendly shipping containers. These containers are made from sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic or biodegradable materials, and can be reused or recycled after use. By using these containers, we are able to reduce our reliance on single-use plastic and minimize the amount of plastic waste generated by our operations.

Implementing an extensive corporate recycling programs

All GLS facilities participate in a waste reduction and recycling program.

By recycling, we are able to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and instead repurpose those materials for use in new products.

Co-locating our primary IT infrastructure

A co-location solution allows GLS to minimize our environmental impact that is not possible in-house.

By co-locating our IT operations, we are able to reduce our energy consumption, minimize our carbon footprint, and reduce the amount of resources needed to operate our business.

Awards & Certifications

GLS has established a method for calculating and declaring our energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for our transport services. This allows us to track our progress and identify areas where we can improve our environmental performance.

DEKRA Certification

The GLS Group has been awarded the Silver Ecovadis sustainability rating. This recognition is a testament to our strong performance in four crucial areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
