At GLS, we are dedicated to operating in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner, and we work hard to think and act in an environmentally friendly manner in all aspects of our business. Some of the efforts we have undertaken to achieve this include: 


  • Transport planning: We have implemented a range of initiatives to optimize our transportation routes and reduce our carbon footprint, including the use of advanced routing software, the deployment of energy-efficient vehicles, and the consolidation of shipments to reduce empty miles.

  • Sustainable sourcing: We have implemented sustainable sourcing practices to reduce our environmental impact and support the use of environmentally responsible materials and products.

  • Energy efficiency: We have invested in energy-efficient technologies and equipment to reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint.

  • Waste reduction: We have implemented recycling programs and implemented best practices to reduce waste and increase resource efficiency.

  • Individual workspaces: We have implemented a range of initiatives to promote sustainability in our individual workspaces, including encouraging the use of reusable containers, promoting the use of public transportation, and providing recycling bins.

Our efforts

Plastic waste is a significant environmental issue, and we are committed to finding ways to reduce our plastic consumption and minimize our impact on the planet.

One way we are able to achieve this is by using environmentally friendly shipping containers. These containers are made from sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic or biodegradable materials, and can be reused or recycled after use. By using these containers, we are able to reduce our reliance on single-use plastic and minimize the amount of plastic waste generated by our operations.

Implementing an extensive corporate recycling programs

All GLS facilities participate in a waste reduction and recycling program.

By recycling, we are able to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and instead repurpose those materials for use in new products. 

Co-locating our primary IT infrastructure

A co-location solution allows GLS to minimize our environmental impact that is not possible in-house. 

By co-locating our IT operations, we are able to reduce our energy consumption, minimize our carbon footprint, and reduce the amount of resources needed to operate our business.
